Rehearsal Dinner Entertainment: Looking for ways to spice up your rehearsal dinner or to entertain your guests during their stay? Island Entertainment is proud to offer a wide array of rehearsal party activities and recommended venues for you and your guests to hold a party the day or night prior to your big event! Ceremony Music and/or Sound Reinforcement: Add flavor to your nuptials! Island Entertainment provides you with the songs you select while your guests are seated, during your processional, recessional and while guests exit. Additionally we provide wireless mics to capture your vows! Elegant Reception Entertainment: Treat yourself to a night you and your guest will never forget! Island Entertainment provides all you desire to make your Mackinac reception just as you have always imagined; event coordination & consultation, professional disc jockey and emcee, professional grade sound and lighting systems and an unparalleled understanding of the complex logistics of Mackinac Island Weddings. Afterglow Reception Entertainment: Looking to keep your party rolling into the morning hours? Island Entertainment will be happy to provide entertainment at an “afterglow reception.” Through our ten years in the entertainment businees, we have established working relationships with several bars and pubs, who would be happy to welcome in your guests for more food, drinking and dancing once your formal reception has concluded. Audio/Visual Rental Package: Tell the story of your life and love in pictures or video. We provide our Texas Instruments LED projector, our 5 foot by 5 foot projection screen, DVD Player and surround sound so your guests can enjoy any slideshow, movie, or presentation you create! Are you insured? Can you supply me with proof of liability? Island Entertainment is a fully insured limited liability corporation. Will you be willing to play requests and discuss music ahead of time? Island Entertainment provides our clients with a comprehensive contract and wedding planner designed to insure that every aspect of your special day goes according to plan. If at any time in the planning process you need assistance, an Island Entertainment representative will be willing and able to assist you as needed. Do you use Professional Equipment? Simply put, Island Entertainment uses the finest professional grade audio and lighting equipment. Each of our four wedding rigs is identically outfitted with Pioneer CD Players, Rane Mixers, Mackie Powered Speakers, Serato Live Software, & an optional Chauvet Light Show. Do you provide backup equipment at my event? All of our wedding rigs are outfitted to operate independently in the unlikely event of the failure of any one of the components. You have enough to worry about on your big day, your disc jockeys equipment failing should not be one of your concerns. Does the Disc Jockey know the proper etiquette for our wedding? Island Entertainments DJs perform at an average of 50 weddings per year, and our experience shows. Each of our deejays fully understands the intricacies necessary to make your event a complete success. How much time do you allow for set-up? To us, punctuality is a must. As such, Island Entertainments DJs will be fully set up prior to your first guests’ arrival at the reception. Additionally, all set up and break down time is factored into our hourly rate…you pay only for the time we are entertaining you and your guests. Do you provide a written contract? For the protection of all parties, Island Entertainment does indeed provide our clients with a written contract. In order to reserve your date, we require that this one page document be completed in full and returned along with a deposit check. Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion? In accordance with the type of event & your personal preference, Island Entertainments DJs always dress to impress. OTHER ITEMS TO NOTE: Disc Jockey rates vary based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality. Rates for the DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $350.00 to over $5,000.00 with an average of $1,200.00 for a 4 hour booking. The best price is not always the best deal, especially if you are planning a wedding. As a matter of fact, surveys conclude that nearly 100% of brides would have spent more money on their entertainment and made it their #1 priority in hindsight. A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for "4 hours". Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.
